What is ctfmon.exe?

Ctfmon.exe is one process which you will always see under your task-manager and you always think What is ctfmon.exe?

ctfmon.exe monitors the active windows and provides text input service support for speech recognition, handwriting recognition, keyboard, translation, and other alternative user input technologies.In simple language you control the computer via speech or a pen tablet, or using the onscreen keyboard inputs for Asian languages.

How to disable ctfmon.exe?
To disable ctfmon.exe in windows XP,go to control option>select regional and language option.

Now under regional and language option>select languages>click on details>

check “Turn off advanced text services”

click on OK and you are done.

An alternative to it:

You can delete “C:WINDOWSsystem32ctfmon ” because it’s also an application.
